The Cats

Milo

Milo is our resident old man. Never raised with dogs, Seven lived with the belief that he would never be safe with a dog. That sure has changed!

Milo is 17 years old and has Hyperthyroidism and Chronic Kidney Disease. He requires a special diet, medication, and careful observation. He is the sweetest boy and does not look or act his age! He likes to cuddle, to the point that he will begin to purr if you put your head on him.

Seven has had him since he was 12 years old, picking him because he was the scared one he knew wouldn't get adopted otherwise, and I (Leo) am lucky enough to have had the joy of getting to know him and becoming his second favorite person!

Natasha

Natasha was a random cat that I (Leo) found outside in 2012. She was roaming around the house, looking lost and like she needed something. I gave her cooked chicken, and she never left! She's 13 years old now, as she was a year old when I found her.

Natasha is what some would describe as "annoying" because she is so needy, but we love her all the same. She hates the other cats, which is why she lives with my parents instead of the rest. Her favorite things are dogs, and she's lucky enough to have two loving humans and a "Chiweenie" companion named Olive.

She is named after Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) of Marvel.

Pepper

Pepper was found by myself (Leo) exactly one month after Natasha started hanging around. She was a 6 month old kitten, covered in fleas, ear mites, and in heat. We lured her in and got her spayed, treated, and have had her since 2012. Her and Natasha never got along the greatest, but we managed for 11 years!

This is the most confident, loving cat you would ever meet. A whopping 6 pounds of mostly fur, she walks with her tail up, rubs, and is happy to greet and be held by anyone. She loves the dogs- often laying with them, and purrs impossibly loud.

Sometimes Pepper goes out on a leash, to JoAnns or another pet-friendly store, where she sits on my shoulders and makes everyone think she's a moving scarf.

She is named after Pepper "Virginia" Potts from Iron Man/Marvel.

Jiji

Jiji was found outside by Seven as a kitten, screaming as she argued with the oldest cat in the neighborhood at the time- Whitey. She was balding from a flea allergy and was quickly taken care of. At 8 years old, she's an ornery little chubby house cat now.

She has caught chipmunks and voles and always tells you what she's thinking. She loves to stand on Seven's dad and knead his stomach, and her favorite place to be is in the bathroom. I have never met a more vocal cat in my entire life.

She's a cool and funny little girl.

She is named after Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service.

Harlan

Harlan was rescued as an 8 week old kitten at a trailer park in Gaylord, Michigan. Some children had him by the neck (not scruffing), so Seven ran over there, asked about him, educated the children, and they gave him Harlan. He brought him back to us, we took him home, and we did NOT plan to keep him.

Fortunately, no one wanted him.

So Seven raised him like a dog. This little kitty thinks he is a dog, just like the Silken Windhounds. He walks like them, goes to the park like them, he even gaits like them because that is all he knows. He also knows tricks, he goes out on the town on a harness - there's something special about this silly little 4yo guy.

He is named after Harlan of The Umbrella Academy.
